Healthy Conscious Eating

After recently buying the book "Conscious Eating" by Dr. Gabriel Cousens, within the first chapter I was delighted at what I had read!

Dr. Cousens definitely knows about the Universal Laws and I was extremely impressed with what he had to say about health and diet. A new concept that had never even occurred to me in the past was given so eloquently by Gabriel, and I'm paraphrasing here, that almost everyone today has been conditioned to think that we need to eat to live and that we must live to eat. At first glance I thought wow this sounds familiar! He then continued by stating that the ONLY reason that we actually even need to ingest food is to keep the energy flowing through our bodies and to strengthen our connection with Source Energy; our cells enjoy movement!

I'll never forget reading that one because we ALL know it's true. We need to eat foods that make us feel good before (as you think of them), during (as you ingest them), and after (digestion) in order to strengthen our connection to the vibration of love. It's been proven that live-foods such as fruits and vegetables have higher vibratory energy and your body thrives off of this. Furthermore, I realized through my own experience that eating foods that made me feel sluggish and tired were much more likely to cause my focus to become negatively oriented. This negative focus would then go on to cause physical discomforts such as pains and indigestion.

Through my own experience with studying Nutrition and Health I have decided that labeling myself gives power to my ego and then things become dogmatic and negatively focused. An example of such would be saying, "I'm a raw-foodist and I only eat raw food." I found myself not eating certain things on the basis that I didn't want people to point out or think badly of me for eating some cooked rice or maybe even a cookie once in awhile.

As Abraham once said in a workshop, "Sometimes that sugar spike or that really gooey cookie or donut is just what your body needs in a particular given moment." I am very excited to continue on in this book because of how positive and understanding he is. Consciously choosing whichever food feels best whenever it feels the best to the individual is best for that particular individual!

Welcome to the Vortex!

Welcome to the Vortex!

I've created this blog as a place for positivity to radiate! A place where not only I can go to feel good but that others can hopefully go to feel good as well.

Inspiration, love, excitement, joy, optimism, and positivity are the most natural feelings we have. Any feeling that feels bad isn't actually real, all it means is that in this particular moment we are focusing upon something which doesn't resonate with what Source actually knows it to be.

My intention with this blog is to enhance my connection to Source and allow Well-Being to flow through me and on to this site. I love you all unconditionally and will be posting here quite frequently.

See you ALL in the Vortex!
